A movie is your current project within Kino. Occassionally, it is referred to as a "playlist." Kino saves movies as a SMIL XML document--a W3C XML standard. We suggest that you save movies with a .kino
or .smil
filename extension.

Kino only supports a very small subset of SMIL 2.1. This includes parts of the following SMIL modules: Structure (smil, body), BasicTimeContainer (seq), BasicMedia (video), MediaClipping (clipBegin, clipEnd), MediaDescription (abstract, author, copyright, title). |
